Police are appealing for two key witnesses to come forward after a serious sexual assault in Nottingham.
The incident occurred in Victoria Park, Bath Street, at about 3am this morning (Saturday).
Detectives would like to speak to anyone who saw or heard anything untoward in the area, and are particularly keen to speak with two people – a man and a woman – who are believed to have seen what happened.
The victim is currently being supported by officers as investigations continue.
Detective Sergeant Barry Haines, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:
“We are working to understand what happened in the moments before during and after this incident and are currently pursuing a number of lines of inquiry.
“To this end we would like to speak to two people who were in the park at the time and later spoke with the young woman involved.
“We believe they have vital information about what happened and urge them to come forward without delay.”
