A pedestrian has sustained serious injuries after a road traffic collision near a hospital.Emergency services were called to Derby Road, near to the entrance of the Queen’s Medical Centre, at 7.32pm on Tuesday.The victim, a man aged in his seventies, sustained serious injuries and is being treated in hospital.The road has been partially closed while investigation work is carried out.Chief Inspector Paul Hennessy, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:
“Officers will remain at the scene of this collision as we work to understand exactly what happened. "To this end we would like to hear from anyone who witnessed these events – particularly anyone who may have recorded dashcam or other video footage at the scene.”Anyone with information is asked to call 101 quoting incident 634 of 6 February 2024.
