Police arrested a suspected drug dealer and seized a large amount of cannabis after stopping a car.
Officers on patrol spotted the vehicle, which had previously been linked to criminal activity, in Edwards Lane, Sherwood, Nottingham, around 11pm on Monday (29 July).
When they searched the car, officers found the Class B drug in deal bags, as well as a large amount of cash.
A 38-year-old man, who was inside the car, was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply cannabis.
Inspector Dan Buckle, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:
“While on patrol our officers are always on the look-out for suspicious activity and vehicles which have previously been linked to criminality.
“When we pulled over this car we discovered bags of cannabis which we suspect were being supplied to others.
“It is always good news when stops like this result in drugs being taken off the streets and destroyed.
“We know arrests can also further disrupt the drugs trade.”
