A man has been arrested after police were called to Crown Island in Nottingham.
Officers were called at 11.42pm yesterday (Friday) evening after reports of an assault.
A 35-year-old man is being treated in hospital for facial injuries, which are not believed to be life-threatening.
A 33-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm and remains in police custody.
Detective Chief Inspector Gareth Harding, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:
“We have been working overnight to understand exactly what occurred. As our investigation continues we ask that any additional witnesses contact us as soon as possible.
“We would also be interested to hear from anyone who was in the area at around the relevant time and has dashcam footage of any of the incident.”
