Suspect in court after Sherwood burglary

A suspect has appeared in court after a burglary in Sherwood.

Police were called shortly after 4pm on Wednesday 3 July after the break-in at an address in The Rise.

A man was detained a short time later in the garden of a nearby house.

Adrian Johnson, aged 44, has been charged with burglary and theft.

Johnson, of no fixed address, appeared at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on Friday 5 July and was remanded into custody.

He is due to appear at Nottingham Crown Court on 2 August.
