Police have arrested a suspect after a man was assaulted in a bar.
Officers were called to Derby Road, in Stapleford, shortly after 1am, this morning (9 November) after reports a man had a head injury.
The victim in his 40s remains in hospital.
A 46-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent. He remains in custody.
A cordon remains in place while inquiries continue.
Detective Sergeant Dave Smith, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:
“We’re carrying out inquiries into what happened in the early hours of this morning and would like to ask anyone who may have been in the area at the time to get in touch with us.”
