A man has been charged with drink-driving following a collision with a parked car.
Officers were called to Lenton Boulevard after it was reported a car had crashed into a Vauxhall Corsa before leaving the scene.
The incident happened at approximately 2am on Saturday 9 November.
Officers located a damaged Ford Fiesta in nearby Warwick Street and arrested a suspect after he failed a roadside breath test.
Parum Sembhi, of Beeston Road, Dunkirk, Nottingham, has been charged with failing to stop after a road accident and drink-driving.
The 20-year-old was bailed and is due to appear at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on 29 November.
PC Oliver Lewis, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:
“As our response to this incident demonstrates, we are committed to protecting the public and will look to take appropriate action against anyone who threatens public safety in this way.
“The consequences of drink-driving can be devastating – for the driver themselves, other road users and pedestrians too – which is precisely why we take these matters seriously and will always seek to put suspects before the courts.”
