A suspect has appeared in court after police responded to reports of a burglary in progress.
Officers attended the break-in at a flat in Forest Road West, Hyson Green, Nottingham, on Saturday (2 November).
The occupants of the flat went outside to call 999 around 11.45pm after hearing noises.
Response police arrived at the scene within minutes and a suspect was detained inside the flat.
Two mobile phones which had been reported as stolen were also recovered.
Ramzi Adam, aged 22, of Manston Mews, Nottingham, has been charged with burglary.
He appeared at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on Monday (4 November) and was remanded in custody until his next appearance at Nottingham Crown Court on 2 December.
Detective Inspector Paul Shortt, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:
“A rapid and efficient response from officers has allowed us to recover suspected stolen property and place a man before the courts.
“I’d like to thank the victims for their assistance and hope they are reassured by our prompt and robust response.”
