Man who raped teenage girls locked up

A man who raped two teenage girls after drinking alcohol with them with alcohol has been jailed.

Frazer Giscombe, aged 35, was driving through Nottingham City Centre late at night when he pulled over and offered the girls a lift on 5 August 2022.

After agreeing to go back to his home address, the girls drank alcohol with Giscombe before the attacks took place.

Giscombe, who has previous convictions for assault and motoring offences, forced himself on one of the girls, held her down and raped her.

He targeted the second girl a short time later as she lay unconscious in his bed.

After he was arrested by Nottinghamshire Police he gave no comment responses to most of the questions posed to him.

He continued to deny the offences during a trial at Nottingham Crown Court in June, where he claimed to have had consensual sex with the second girl, and had no contact at all with the first.

He added that he believed both girls to be at least 20 years-old, but was later found guilty of two counts of rape.

Appearing at the same venue on Friday, Giscombe, of Perry Road, Basford, was given an extended 16 year sentence.

Detective Constable Toby Marsh said:

“Giscombe targeted two teenage girls late at night by initially posing as a helpful stranger.

“Seemingly viewing them as an easy target, he drank a large quantity of alcohol with them and raped them one after the other – targeting the second girl as she lay unconscious and unable to consent to anything.

“This was frankly predatory behaviour, and I am pleased Giscombe has now received a very substantial jail sentence.

“The victims in this case have both been through a horrible ordeal and I hope they will find at least some comfort in knowing this man is now in prison.”
