Police are appealing for additional witnesses to come forward after a woman was struck by a van in Worksop.
The incident happened in Eastgate shortly before 8pm yesterday (Wednesday) and a 30-year-old woman was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
A 24-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and remains in police custody.
Detectives have appealed for additional witnesses to come forward – including several motorists who passed by the scene shortly after the incident.
Detective Sergeant Alan Braisby, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:
“The victim in this case remains in hospital with serious injures and we are currently working to understand exactly what happened in the moments before, during and after this incident.
“To this end we would like to speak with any additional witnesses who have yet to come forward – particularly any motorists who passed by the scene in the moments after this incident.
“Any information – no matter how insignificant it may seem – may prove vital to this investigation.”
Anyone with additional information is asked to call 101 quoting incident 727 of 18 September 2024.
