Detectives investigating an assault on a man found injured in a Beeston street have made two further arrests.
Officers were called to Queens Road shortly before 6.30pm on Tuesday, 20 August following reports that a man had been assaulted.
The incident happened close to the junction with Alexandra Crescent, with a number of individuals present.
Police attended and located a man in his 30s with a very minor stab wound to his chest.
He was taken to hospital and discharged a short time later after treatment.
Following the incident, a 31-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of affray. He was later bailed with conditions while the investigation continued, including work to trace other individuals involved in the incident.
That work has since led to the arrest of a 24-year-old man on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent and affray. An 18-year-old man has also been arrested on suspicion of affray.
Both suspects have also since been bailed with conditions while further investigation work is carried out.
Detective Sergeant Charlotte Henson, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:
“Following our investigations, we have arrested two further suspects in connection with this incident but our inquiries are still ongoing and a team of officers will carry on investigating the incident until those responsible are brought to justice.
“We would like to once again reiterate that this type of behaviour will never be tolerated on our streets and we will always do everything we can to thoroughly investigate.
“This remains an ongoing investigation and any information may be of great importance to our inquiries. We would again ask for anyone with any information to come forward and get in touch.”
Anyone with information that may assist the investigation is asked to call Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 553 of 20 August 2024, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
