Police arrested five suspects after reports of a fight in the street.
Officers were called to Dawes Way, Lenton, shortly before 4.15pm on Thursday (6 February) following reports of a disturbance.
It was reported a number of people left the scene in a Toyota Yaris.
Officers went looking for the car after being provided with its registration number.
They stopped it a short time later at Beeston Fields Recreation Ground and this resulted in four men – aged 22, 26, 36 and 36 – being arrested on suspicion of affray.
Following inquiries, a fifth man, aged 23, was later arrested on suspicion of the same offence.
They remain in custody for questioning.
One person was treated in hospital for injuries that are not life-altering or life-threatening.
Detective Sergeant Frank Guddemi, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:
“Violence will not be tolerated in our neighbourhoods so I’m pleased we were able to quickly attend the incident and prevent further disorder.
“Officers who attended the scene worked efficiently to arrest five suspects.
“Our investigations are continuing and anyone with any information should call police on 101, quoting incident number 488 of 6 February 2025, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.”
