A man's body has been recovered after police were called to Wollaton Park Lake.
Emergency services were called at 12.59pm today (Friday) after the discovery was reported by a member of the public.
The man's family has been informed and an investigation into what happened is ongoing.
Detective Inspector Lisa Jones, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:
"This is a tragic discovery and our thoughts this afternoon are with this man's family and friends.
"Whilst our investigation into what happened remains at an early stage, we don't currently believe his death to be suspicious.
"As we work to understand how this man came to be in the water, I would like to appeal to any additional witnesses to come forward."
Anyone with additional information about this incident is asked to call 101 quoting incident 265 of 3 January 2025.
