Police investigating an assault in a supermarket car park are asking for help from the public.
Officers attended Tesco Extra, in Top Valley Way, Nottingham, around 1.20pm on Christmas Eve following reports a group of people were fighting.
A man and a woman reported being assaulted by a man known to them.
A 42-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault and has since been released on bail while investigations continue.
Police Constable Katherine Tremayne, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:
“This incident took place in the middle of the day in a busy supermarket car park, so we believe there will have been several witnesses.
“Despite the arrest we still want to hear from anyone who has information about what happened.
“We would particularly like to hear from anyone with any recorded footage of the incident.”
Anyone who can assist should call police on 101, quoting incident number 258 of 24 December 2024, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
