Police arrested a suspected drug dealer after seizing deal bags of cannabis following a car stop.
Officers from the knife crime team were on patrol in Nuthall Road, Cinderhill, Nottingham, when they acted on intelligence to pull the vehicle over and search it.
Deal bags of the Class B drug and bundles of cash were discovered inside the car during the incident on Thursday (2 January) around 3pm.
A 33-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a Class B drug.
Following checks, he was further arrested on suspicion of driving while disqualified, driving without insurance and a Bail Act offence.
Police Constable Ken Tinley, of Nottinghamshire Police’s knife crime team, said:
“We are always alert on patrol to spot drug crime on the streets and regularly stop and search vehicles linked to suspected dealers.
“It is always a good result when we can seize and destroy drugs, recover suspected drugs money and take positive action to disrupt this illegal trade.”
