Officers are investigating a robbery in the city centre.
The incident happened along a canal towpath behind Nottingham Crown Court on Tuesday 28 January just after 8am.
A woman, in her 40s, initially reported being assaulted by several youths and money being taken from her.
She has received an injury to her leg.
East Midlands Ambulance Service were called but the female declined any treatment.
Officers are carrying out a thorough investigation to determine what has happened.
There was a small cordon in place while an investigation was underway. This cordon has now been removed.
