A suspected burglar was arrested within minutes of police receiving a 999 call.
Officers were called to an industrial premises in Arnold Road, Basford, at 2.33 am on Monday morning after an alarm was activated.
Two officers were on the scene a few minutes later and detained a suspect who was found in possession of a hand saw and bolt cutters.
A 50-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of burglary.
Detective Inspector Steven King, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:
“Burglaries of this nature can have a major impact on local businesses and are taken extremely seriously by Nottinghamshire Police.
“The speed of the officers’ response in this instance allowed us to identify a suspect in the immediate vicinity of the building and to recover vital evidence.
“An investigation is now ongoing and anyone with additional information is asked to call us on 101 quoting incident 36 of 27 January 2025.”
