Two further suspects have been arrested after a machete was seized following a break-in at a Nottingham flat.
Officers were called to Bracebridge Drive, Bilborough, around 9.25pm on Sunday (12 January) where a group of youths were seen attempting to flee from the address.
Following a search of the area and other inquiries three suspects were detained.
Officers also recovered a machete which was found inside a bag within the flat.
An investigation by detectives has now led to the arrest of two further suspects.
Two boys, aged 15 and 16, have been arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary.
Detective Chief Inspector Claire Gould, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:
“Our investigation into this incident has now led to the arrest of five suspects.
“We always respond robustly to any report of this nature and detectives have been working hard to understand exactly what happened.
“We’d continue to urge anyone with additional information or relevant footage of the incident to come forward without delay.”
Anyone who can assist should call police on 101, quoting incident number 531 of 12 January 2024, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
