Police investigating a collision in Nottingham have appealed for witnesses to come forward.
A 14-year-old girl was walking along Strelley Road towards Strelley when she was struck by something sticking out of a passing truck.
The driver slowed down following the impact but then drove off from the scene.
It happened at approximately 4pm on Wednesday last week (8 January). The girl was taken to hospital but thankfully her injuries were not serious.
PC Martin Giddy, who is investigating the incident, said:
“This was a traumatic incident for the girl involved and we are doing everything we can to trace the driver involved.
“It happened along a busy road and we would ask anyone who witnessed the incident to please come forward.
“Likewise, we are very keen to speak to anyone who thinks they may have captured the truck or the incident on their dash cam.”
Anyone with information is asked to call 101 quoting incident number 463 of 8 January 2025.
