A woman has been charged after a number of windows were smashed at a historic pub in Nottingham city centre.
Police were called to The Bell Inn, along Angel Row, shortly after 7.45am on Tuesday (21 January) after staff reported a member of the public causing damage.
Officers attended and discovered the vandalism included five smashed windows and two broken A-boards.
It is estimated the repair costs will be approximately £4,500.
A suspect was arrested later in the day.
Sabrina Winfield, of Holland Street, Radford, has been charged with criminal damage. The 31-year-old was granted conditional bail and is due to appear at Nottingham Magistrates' Court on 13 February.
Inspector Paul Gummer, of the City Centre neighbourhood team, said:
“This was an act of mindless vandalism at one of Nottingham’s most historic pubs.
“Criminal damage will not be tolerated and I am pleased a suspect was located and charged.
“I hope this action reassures the public and business community that this kind of behaviour will be met with a robust response from our officers.”
