Another two teenagers have been taken into police custody under arrest in relation to the stabbing at a house party in a flat in Hounds Gate, Nottingham, on Friday evening (28 February).
The two individuals, a 17-year-old boy and a 16-year-old girl, have been interviewed by investigating officers. These are two of the teenagers previously said to have been injured in the incident and they were also arrested on suspicion of affray.
Officers were called to the scene at 11.42pm on Friday, in which a 17-year-old boy was taken to hospital with serious injuries, which were not believed to be life-threatening. He remains in hospital.
The 18-year-old man and four seventeen-year-old boys who were previously arrested on suspicion of affray have been released on bail with conditions not to enter the city centre. This also applies to the 16-year-old girl.
The 17-year-old boy who has now been taken into custody remains there and the closure in place on Hounds Gate has been removed.
Superintendent Kathryn Craner, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:
“Thank you to those that have come forward and spoken with us to assist our inquiries.
“We now know that a number of those involved are believed to be known to each other, and we continue to work around the clock to establish the circumstances which resulted in the shocking acts of violence.
“It is still believed that this incident is not in any way linked to those that took place in the city earlier this week, however we will maintain a high presence in the city centre with additional patrols continuing over the coming days.
“If you have any concerns or questions, please do speak with us.”
