As a public sector organisation with our community at heart and growing public demand for climate action, Nottinghamshire Police and the Police and Crime Commissioner recognise the importance of addressing our emissions and broader environmental impacts.
We have published our first force Environmental Strategy which you can read below. This strategy presents a detailed plan to aid us on our journey towards net zero and improved environmental sustainability. Covering carbon, resource use and the natural environment, it outlines the current status quo within Nottinghamshire Police, highlights key opportunities to improve and provides a clear action plan to drive us forward in our ambition to become a more environmentally sustainable organisation.
It will help us become a leaner, greener organisation that will save the force money, reduce our environmental impact, and improve the county which we serve. We will be publishing annual reports on our progress.
