PC 3937 Aaron Harthill-Harrison is to attend a three-day misconduct hearing at Nottinghamshire Police Headquarters starting at 9am on Wednesday 24 June.
On 6 November 2024, PC Harthill-Harrison attended a report where a male had been seen to climb over a gate away from an address carrying a suitcase. A member of the public directed PC Harthill-Harrison to a play area where the male had been seen to run.
PC Harthill-Harrison attended the play area and spoke with a male, Person A, who was stood next to a suitcase. It is alleged that PC Harthill-Harrison obtained Person A's name and address but failed to arrest him and failed to seize or search the suitcase. When later asked about the incident, PC Harthill-Harrison stated there was nothing in the suitcase and that Person A was of no fixed abode, both accounts are alleged to be false.
