Officers investigating a break-in at a Basford-based car dealership have made two arrests.
A computer was stolen from the showroom in Vernon Road after intruders smashed a window to get inside.
Police have been conducting extensive inquiries since the business was targeted, around 7.55pm on 25 March.
Officers have shared a public appeal as part of this, featuring pictures of people they wanted to speak to as part of their investigation.
That decision has since helped police identify two suspects – both of whom officers managed to track down and detain on Sunday (31 May).
A 32-year-old man and a 15-year-old boy have subsequently been arrested on suspicion of burglary.
PC Megan Taylor, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:
"I'd firstly like to thank each member of the public that saw our appeal and came forward with information.
"As a direct result of that, we've since managed to identify and arrest two suspects in connection with this commercial burglary.
"Our hope is that this news provides some reassurance – not just to the victims but to other members of the public too – that we will listen to any information shared with us and then take action.
"While we've made two arrests in connection with this break-in, our inquiries are still very much ongoing, so we'd urge people to continue reporting anything they know, have seen, or heard relating to this incident."
The police can be contacted directly on 101, quoting incident 682 of 25 March 2026, while information can be reported anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
