Two suspects were arrested shortly after perfume was stolen during a break-in at a retail park.
Police were called to Boots at the Riverside Retail Park, in The Meadows, at 12:12am on Thursday 18 June after intruders smashed their way in with a sledgehammer.
Multiple items were taken from the store’s perfumery section before the intruders left the scene.
Officers on patrol later spotted and detained two suspects in Southey Street, Nottingham, after becoming suspicious of their movements.
One bottle of perfume was found on one of the suspects, and several others were discovered in the footwell of a car parked nearby.
Two men, aged 42 and 41, were arrested on suspicion of theft.
Inspector Steve Dalby, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:
"The offenders in this case were in and out of the store very quickly before disappearing into the night.
"Thanks to a shout-out to all officers in the area, we were able to stop two suspects later that morning and bring them into custody."
