Detectives have launched an investigation following reports two teenage girls were sexually assaulted overnight.
The incidents are believed to have happened at around 11pm yesterday (Thursday 4 June) in the Old Market Square area in Nottingham city centre.
A cordon is in place in Norfolk Place while investigations continue.
The victims are now being supported by specialist officers, as detectives continue to work with them to understand the circumstances surrounding the assaults.
Detective Inspector Beth Sheard, of Nottinghamshire Police's Public Protection unit, said:
“We know that these incidents are very concerning and I would like to reassure the victims and the wider public that we are doing everything we can to investigate these reports.
“Our investigation is now underway and I urge anyone who has any information to call Nottinghamshire Police immediately.”
Anyone with any information is asked to call Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 879 of 4 June 2026.
