Officers seized more than 320 wraps of cocaine and heroin from a suspect's underpants during a busy week of patrols to tackle city centre drug dealing.
The knife crime team was tasked with observing drug activity across the city as part of Operation Reclaim, a collaborative project to solve the biggest problems affecting Nottingham.
The team was in the North Sherwood Street area on Tuesday (26 May) when officers observed a suspected drug deal taking place in an alleyway.
They detained a man as he walked away from the scene at 11.50am.
During searches, officers recovered the wraps of Class A drugs which will now be destroyed.
Kienan Saxton, of no fixed abode, has been charged with two counts of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs.
He appeared at Nottingham Magistrates' Court on Wednesday (27 May) and was remanded in custody.
The 25-year-old is next expected to appear at Nottingham Crown Court on 24 June 2026.
During a separate stop and search, in Glasshouse Street, on Wednesday at 2pm, officers recovered a further large bundle of Class A drugs.
The knife crime team observed drug activity taking place near an underpass and detained a teenager.
Officers seized more than 100 wraps from the suspect's shorts.
A 16-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs.
Police Constable Daniel Cresswell, of the knife crime team, said:
"We were on patrol this week in the city centre as part of the team's efforts to support the Operation Reclaim initiative.
"It is always a good result when we can take Class A drugs off the streets and arrest and charge suspects."
Operation Reclaim includes Nottingham City Council, the Violence Reduction Partnership, Nottinghamshire’s Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner and It’s in Nottingham, which represents city centre businesses.
