Internationally famous for Sherwood Forest, home of the Robin Hood legend, the principle of serving and protecting our communities remains just as true as it did back then.
Located in the heart of England, the county is renowned for its sporting roots including Trent Bridge Cricket Ground, the Capital FM National Ice Arena, Meadow Lane – home to Notts County, and the City Ground – home to Nottingham Forest.
With two universities, the University of Nottingham and Nottingham Trent University, and Nottingham College (the second largest in Europe), the city is also home to many students.
We work closely with all of our communities across Nottinghamshire and our partners to ensure they have trust and confidence in all that we do.
To achieve this, the force has a dedicated workforce of just over 3,900 officers and staff, who are supported by a growing army of hundreds of Special Constables, cadets and volunteers.
By providing dedicated policing services for the city of Nottingham and our county we ensure that our officers are visible in the communities they serve, and through our Prevention Hub we actively develop practical solutions to prevent crime and disorder and keep the public safe.
