Pioneering police service

We’re a forward-thinking organisation which has led the way in many areas of policing. We were the first police service to launch the Police Constable Degree Apprenticeship programme, the first police service outside of the Met to have a dedicated knife crime team, and the first police service to meet the Operation Uplift targets.

We need to treat each other fairly and have our resources in the right place but also ensure that we all work to the highest standards and are all invested in maintaining them.

Preparing you for life as a special constable

You will train at our purpose-built £18.5m facility before heading out onto the frontline.
