Our Rural community are often isolated and the impact of damage to fields, crops and equipment, poaching and theft of vehicles can be devastating.

We have conducted a number of operations in recent weeks, working alongside our Road Crime Unit, Off Road Bike Team and Rural trained officers in targeted poachers and those committing crime on East Bassetlaw. Neighbourhoods Policing Team officers are working hard at targeted hardening a number of sites and I recently met with a number of farmers and landowners to understand the effect of rural crime, how we can work more closely and work on any barriers which prevent the sharing of information and improve how we work.
