Crime has reduced significantly across Radford during July following the introduction of Operation Arriving, a targeted policing initiative launched in response to increases in burglary, vehicle crime and other offences.
Officers have carried out warrants, proactive patrols and targeted days of action in hotspot areas. Their efforts have resulted in over 100 for offences including burglary, robbery, drug dealing, shoplifting and theft from vehicles.
Latest figures show that overall crime fell by 20.2% in July compared to June, with notable reductions in key crime types:
•Robbery fell by 52.2%, from 23 offences to 11.
•Vehicle crime fell by 48.8%, from 82 offences to 45.
•Residential burglary fell by 26.5%, from 34 offences to 25.
The results demonstrate the positive impact of targeted enforcement activity, with officers continuing to focus on identifying offenders, reducing crime and improving safety for local residents.
