ASB - October 2024 to December 2024
It has been decided that the Policing priority for Basford Ward will be Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB). We have seen an increase in ASB around the Highbury Vale tram stop and on the trams themselves. We are continuing with operations to combat this in conjunction with NET trams who are supporting our operations and assisting with vital evidence capture. And also is in preparation for darker evenings, the clocks changing and Halloween and Bonfire Night. We will be having monthly meetings with our partners to ensure that we are patrolling the places experiencing the most ASB. We are also working with local schools and clubs to address any concerns which provides a multi-layered problem-solving approach. We encourage any member of the public to report ASB to us on 101.

November Update
During the month of October we have recorded 22 ASB related incidents on the Basford Ward, the vast majority of these are complaints about neighbours making noise, parking disputes or other matters that the Police are probably not the best agency to deal with, however we do refer these on to housing or Nottingham City Community housing. We have also received a small number of reports regarding local children throwing stones and knocking on doors which officers have attended when reported. There is no identified ASB repeat location nor problem location currently on the ward.
