Your local policing team is made up of dedicated neighbourhood officers and community support officers based in your community, supported by additional officers from the wider area.
We work closely with our partners and engage the community when deciding our policing priorities for your area. By working together we aim to find solutions to longstanding local problems while maintaining our wider focus on preventing crime and antisocial behaviour across Nottinghamshire.
Through consultation with the public and Partners it has been decided that the Policing priority for July 2026 to September 2026 for the wards Basford and Leen Valley will be Anti Social Behaviour . The Police will provide proactive patrols around all the areas where we identify ASB and deal with those who we identify as perpetrators effectively. We will specifically focus on open spaces such as parks and recreation ground in the warmer period.

June 2026 update
The main area for our patrols on the Leen beat is the Beechdale Retail Park, we regularly patrol this area and speak with the shop staff .
We will identify areas on the ward where ASB has been reported and look to adopt problem solving principles in dealing with, locations, persons affected and perpetrators. We will reflect and review on what is effective and what doesn't work .
