Your local policing team is made up of dedicated neighbourhood officers and community support officers based in your community, supported by additional officers from the wider area.
We work closely with our partners and engage the community when deciding our policing priorities for your area. By working together we aim to find solutions to longstanding local problems while maintaining our wider focus on preventing crime and antisocial behaviour across Nottinghamshire.
Anti-Social Behaviour
Issued 01 October 2026
We will be focusing on youth-related anti-social behaviour and wider nuisance behaviour affecting our communities. This priority has been set ahead of the traditionally busier periods around Halloween, Bonfire Night and the Christmas season, when reports of ASB often increase.
Officers will be carrying out high-visibility patrols, engaging with young people and working alongside partner agencies to prevent and address behaviour that causes harassment, alarm or distress to local residents.
In recent months we have worked with NSDC on a variety of civil interventions, including securing a CBO for a persistent street drinker (who has since been prosecuted for breaching this) and both securing and extending closure orders on problem premises. This work is continuing and we are targeting those individuals and locations that cause the greatest harm.

Drugs
Issued 01 October 2026
Tackling the supply of illegal drugs remains a key priority. Officers will continue to develop intelligence, conduct proactive operations and work with local communities to identify and disrupt those involved in drug dealing and associated criminality.
In the last month the team have made drugs seizures, and executed 2 drugs warrants. We are currently working with NSDC to obtain a closure order on a house being persistently used by drug users and dealers.
Information provided by the public is vital in helping us target those responsible and reduce the harm caused by illegal drugs within our communities.
How You Can Help
We are committed to working with our communities to address the issues that matter most. If you have information relating to any of these priorities, please report it to us via:
•Online reporting through the Nottinghamshire Police website
•Calling 101 for non-emergency matters
•Calling 999 in an emergency
•Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111
These priorities will be reviewed regularly to ensure we are responding to the issues that have the greatest impact on our communities.

Nuisance Vehicles
Issued 01 October 2026
We are aware that there is significant public concern around this issue, and while it is something we continue to work hard to tackle, we are reviewing and revising our approach. We will be looking to be visible and present in hotspot areas, taking direct action to stop and seize bikes, and prioritising follow up enquiries where we have information and intelligence to identify those responsible. Of note our activities will include:
Op Jericho – response to off road bikes, quads and surons. We will use resources including the off-road bike team, drone and CCTV support to cover hot spot areas and seek to disrupt and deter this offending.
Op Wheelspin – this is our approach to dealing with car cruisers and includes the support from OS colleagues to prevent cruises taking place, and to deal with offenders using road traffic act legislation.
Hotspot patrol – we have additional funding for patrols around Newark Town Centre, and will be looking to deal with those who use e-scooters in the town centre.
Retailer engagement – working with retailers to ensure the correct information is clearly communicated to prospective purchasers around the legal or illegal use of these vehicles.
Education – providing the public with the information needed to ensure that their use of these vehicles is legal, and highlighting the danger they pose to promote and encourage safe and legal use.
