Neighbourhood policing team
Your local policing team is made up of dedicated neighbourhood officers and community support officers based in your community, supported by additional officers from the wider area.
We work closely with our partners and engage the community when deciding our policing priorities for your area. By working together we aim to find solutions to longstanding local problems while maintaining our wider focus on preventing crime and antisocial behaviour across Nottinghamshire.

ASB has been a long time priority of the Newark & Sherwood NPT, with concerns raised district wide. There is a particular focus on ASB involving young people in public spaces, and it is clearly causing significant concern in the community.
Action taken:
We will continue to with with NSDC to target offenders and use all available legislation to prevent such behaviour. We under take a wide variety of activities, including additional patrols, dedicated ASB car, and diversionary activities. Please look out on our Facebook pages for updates on our progress.

The NPT frequently receive reports of off road bikes and quads being driven illegally both on public roads, housing estates and green spaces.
Action taken:
The NPT regularly deploy with the off road bike team to identify riders, seize vehicles and seek prosecution under road traffic legislation.

Priority:
The impact of the use and supply of illicit substances in the community is significant a far reaching. It impacts on other crime times such as theft, burglary, violence, anti-social behaviour and generally has a negative impact on the community.
Action taken:
As a team we have always had a focus on understanding, investigating and ultimately taking enforcement action in respect of the drugs trade in Newark & Sherwood. Op Reacher take the lead on this, undertaking proactive patrols, developing intelligence and conducting searches, We will continue this activity and focus on individuals we know to be involved in the drugs trade locally.
