Interviews and assessment days can be held at any of the following locations so it’s important that you know the best way to get to us.
Joint Headquarters
Our Headquarters at Sherwood Lodge in Arnold has been purpose-built to serve as a joint headquarters for both Nottinghamshire Police and Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service. The new state of the art facilities includes training facilities, conference rooms, interview rooms, working spaces, a multi-faith room, a sports hall, a fitness trail, a gym and canteen facilities.

From the city centre, you can head north on the A60 Mansfield Road then follow signs towards Arnold and Sherwood Lodge Drive

If coming from the M1, exit at junction 26 then follow the A610 towards Nottingham before joining the A611 and then the A60 towards Arnold

Alternatively, on the M1, you can also exit at junction 27 then take the A608 towards Hucknall before joining the A60

Free parking is available in the visitor’s section of our car park which is just to the left before you get to the main barrier

From Nottingham city centre, buses run regularly and take approximately 30-40 minutes depending on traffic

The NCT 58 / 58X service which runs via Daybrook and Sherwood will take you from the city centre into Arnold town centre. From there, it’s a short taxi ride to our headquarters

The A3 service from the city centre to Arnold and then onwards to Calverton drops you close to our headquarters

The Pronto (PRO) service linking Nottingham – Mansfield – Chesterfield from the city centre stops at the Burnstump Hill which is then a seven-minute walk to our headquarters

You can plan your route using the Nottingham City Transport journey planner or the Moovit app
- There is no train station in Arnold therefore your nearest station is in the city centre where you will need to transfer to a bus or taxi to reach our headquarters
Mansfield Police Station
Mansfield Police Station sits close to Mansfield town centre and provides an operational base for police officers to be deployed out to incidents. It has public contact facilities, a custody suite and offices for staff and neighbourhood policing teams.

From Nottingham city centre, take the A60 north directly into Mansfield

From the M1, exit at junction 27 then follow the A608 towards Mansfield before joining the A60

From Nottingham city centre, buses run regularly and take approximately 30-40 minutes depending on traffic

- The nearest station is Mansfield Station located on Station Road. From there, it is a 10–15-minute walk to Mansfield Police Station
Oxclose Lane Police Station
Oxclose Lane is one of our larger operational bases and is located in Arnold. It houses neighbourhood policing teams, response officers, specialist units and police staff.

From Nottingham city centre, take the A60 Mansfield Road north before turning onto Oxclose Lane

From the M1, exit at junction 26 and follow the A610 to the A611 to the A60 before turning onto Oxclose Lane

There are a limited number of parking spaces available at the station
- The NCT 87 service from the city centre stops outside Oxclose Lane Police Station and takes around 25-35-minutes
- There is no train station in Arnold therefore your nearest station is in the city centre where you will need to transfer to a bus or taxi to reach the station
