Your local policing team is made up of dedicated neighbourhood officers and community support officers based in your community, supported by additional officers from the wider area.
We work closely with our partners and engage the community when deciding our policing priorities for your area. By working together we aim to find solutions to longstanding local problems while maintaining our wider focus on preventing crime and antisocial behaviour across Nottinghamshire.
Road safety issues are a real concern from our community, and this is reflected within our crime survey, particularly around the A57 area. The consequences of dangerous driving can be extremely serious and I determined to make the roads on Bassetlaw a safer place.

We continue to target those that drive dangerously on our roads. Throughout the last month, we have had the support of our Roads Policing Unit, who have targeted those putting others at risk. Multiple vehicles have been seized and road traffic offences have been dealt with, making roads safer for all that use them. Our new CCTV camera on the A57 continues to capture evidence and early indications have proven that its presence has had a positive effect on traffic calming. We continue to work in partnership with other areas, sharing intelligence and being proactive in tackling car cruisers who drive recklessly on our road network

Drug Supply and Drug Use features high on our crime survey feedback and is a regular concern from our communities. Drug Supply and Drug Use impacts a variety of other crime types, such as theft and public order offences as well as anti-social behaviour.
Issued 01 January 2025
We are making some really great progress in tackling drug use and supply in the Worksop area. A number of Misuse of Drugs Act warrants have been executed, with drugs seized. Further enforcement will continue and some targeted activity in the town centre will be taking place in the coming weeks. Operation Legacy continues with a number of individuals supported into rehabilitation, engagement with drugs services and accommodation.
