1 – ASB in parks and green spaces
2 – Shop Theft
3 – Vehicle Theft
To run from July to Sept 2025
Issued 01 July 2025
1- ASB in parks and green areas; Due to the better weather, school holidays, and lighter evenings, we usually seen an increase in reports of ASB coming into the summer months in our main park areas in Rushcliffe. We have seen ASB relating to youths congregating and acting in an anti-social manner towards other park users, as well as drug use, and motorbike related ASB. Officers & PCSOs will work with our partners in Rushcliffe Borough Council to increase visibility, tackle ASB at source, and where required, enforce legislation and conduct home visits.
2- Shoplifting; Shoplifting remains a key issue for us in relation to crimes reported, and repeat offenders. We will continue to use the array of Criminal Behaviour Orders, banning orders, and work with local retail premises to try to reduce the likelihood of offending by designing out crime. We will of course seek to prosecute all retail crime offences where out of court disposals are not appropriate
3- Vehicle Theft; Vehicle theft, whilst not as high as previous years peaks, has remained an issue in Rushcliffe, and offences have started to increase this year. Numerous arrests of key nominals have been undertaken, however further work will be conducted with patrols, and crime prevention work conducted in the community too.
