Our police staff work side by side with police officers and make a real difference to people’s lives. There are many vital roles carried out by police staff, from taking the 999 calls, managing detained persons in our custody suites, digital media investigators through to managing our workforce in People Services and finance.

You must:
- be aged 16 or over
- a British Citizen, an EC / EEA national or a Commonwealth citizen, or a foreign national with no restrictions on your stay in the UK
- have had a minimum of 3 years continuous residency in the UK (some roles will require five years continuous residency), with less than 12-months spend abroad in the last three years (with some exceptions for those living on a UK military base)
- have no criminal convictions (minor offences will be considered on an individual basis)
- have not been declared bankrupt or have outstanding County Court judgments
